The payment of federal taxes takes place every year. The amount to be paid by an individual is determined through his or her income and each person is required to accomplish a federal tax form for the determination of the amount, primarily.
Federal Taxes could either be progressive, proportional or regressive model. Progressive model is the most common model of federal taxes. Under progressive model the tax rate is counted on the basis of income earned under last year. Higher the income higher the tax to be paid. Every individual who made an income are required to report that income to federal and state government by filing an income tax return.
The majority of taxpaying Americans are able to fill out a Form 1040A: U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. This form is also referred to as the Income Tax Return for Single and Joint Filers with No Dependents.
